Correspondence to Alma Mahler, 1938-1947.

Concerns the publishing rights to Gustav Mahler's work "Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen" and the payment of income to Alma Mahler. 2 items in 1938 pertain to Alma's apparent attempt to end the contract with Josef Weinberger Ltd. in the wake of the Anschluss and her exile from Austria; however, Josef Weinberger Ltd., which was able to continue its operations from London, called upon Bryk to mediate, providing a typed transcript (included) of the contract that Gustav Mahler had signed with the company in 1897, and the relationship apparently remained in place. The item addressed to Hugo Winter, dated 1947, mainly concerns a report of income due to Alma Mahler; it bears a handwritten postscript written on a more personal level to Winter. The earliest item from the company, written from Vienna in 1938, is signed by Josef Weinberger; the remaining items (all written from the new office in London) bear several other signatures which are not discernible, usually under the title of Director (one name possibly is "Golwig").
